1.11.8. Zupa vineyards - Zupa
Zupa vineyards is located on slopes and hills of Aleksandrovacka Zupa.
It includes parts of the cadastral municipalities of Mrmos, Gornja Zleginja, Subotica, Vrazogrnci, Trnavci, Dobroljubci, Igros, Sljivovo, Mala Vrbnica, Botunja, Lesenovci, Raklja, Donji Vratari, Starci - Popovci, Gornji Vratari, Latkovac, Kozetin, Puhovac, Drenca, Rzanica, Velja Glava, Tules, Trzac, Rataje, Bratici, Rudenice, Omasnica and Golubovac, Zlatari, Bogise, Strojinci, Dupci, Lepenac, Ribari, Milentija, Velika Vrbnica, Velika Vrbnica Donja, Mala Vrbnica, Donji Stupanj, Gornji Stupanj, Lacisled, Dasnica, Garevina, Donja Zleginja, Crvena Jabuka, Pokrp, Parcin, Ljubinci, Bobote, Stubal, Vitkovo, Stanjevo, Aleksandrovac and Novaci.
Zupa vineyards also includes the following oasis:
- Oasis Zlatari, starting at the river Suvajska reka in the settlement Albanija and goes toward east till Kucetina slope.
- Oasis Strojinci – north
- Oasis Strojinci - south
- Oasis Dupci expands in the cadastral municipalities of Dupci and Strojinci. Border starts south of road Krusevac – Brus.
- Oasis Lepenac, includes small area south of the region border, or vineyard border.
- Oasis Ribari – north, includes settlements Ribari, west from the river Rasina.
- Oasis Ribari – south, includes small part of the settlement Ribari near forest to the west, and river Rasina, south of "Veliki Ribari" and north west of elevation 583.
- Oasis Milentija – south, includes area west of the river Rasina and south of the Jasikovac spring, including one part of the settlement Milentija.
- Oasis Milentija - central part, includes part between north and south parts of the oasis Milentija, east from elevation 599, including very little of the settlement.
- Oasis Milentija – north, includes part west from the river Rasina and south from the river Basicka reka.
These vineyards does not include the following forest complexes: in west and south part: cadastral municipalities of Starci - Popovci; in north and north east part cadastral municipality of Latkovac; in west part cadastral municipality of Puhovac, in south west part cadastral municipality of Velja Glava; in north west part cadastral municipality of Drenca; in central part cadastral municipality of Rzanica; and in south and south west part cadastral municipality of Tules.
Long tradition of Zupa in production of grapes and wine (first records date from 1196 - Studenica's Charter in which Stefan Nemanja, founder of the Serbian middle age state, gifts monastery of Studenica vineyards in Zupa) can be traced through exibitions of the Museum of wine and wipe production in Aleksandrovac.
