Goc
Not far away from Kraljevo there is a mountain of Goc that belongs to the north Kopaonik mountain system. The highest peak is 1124 meters above the sea level. Goc area is covered with beech trees and spruces. There are Goc pine, sessile oak, noble deciduous and coniferous egzoti. Vast forests and clearings of Goc with its untouched nature and clean air favorably affect the anemic people, strengthening the metabolism and nervous system.
Goc is rich with forest strawberries, and a variety of medicinal herbs. The wealth of flora is confirmed by many beekeeper’s hives, with bees on grazing. There is an artificial lake near Gvozdac, that perfectly fits in the natural environment.
There are two ski runs 300 meters long, for beginners and children, with two ski lifts. At 150 meters from the hotel there is a 1150 meters long ski lift, and ski trail 1400 meters long.There are five marked trails for skiing, of different length and slope. There is a smaller, 30-meter hill too, ideal training of ski jumpers.
In addition to opportunities for skiing, Goc has the conditions (facilities for basketball, volleyball, handball and tennis) for the preparation of athletes, organization of the recreational classes, and sports camps for hiking, paragliding, hunting and fishing. Goc is known for its cultural and historical monuments, of which the most interesting is "Roman cemetery’’. That is the place where they buried Sasi, miners who worked here, and melt iron during Nemanjic dynasty.
