Jastrebac
Jastrebac is a mountain located in the southern part of Serbia, in the area between Nis, Aleksinac, Krusevac, Blace and Prokuplje. It consists of two massives, Great and Small Jastrebac mountains, and belongs to the Rhodope mountains. The highest peaks are Velika Djulica (1492 meters), Zmajevac (1,313 meters) ,and Bela Stena (1,257 meters). It is known for Reserve of birch forests, and abundance of large game, roe deer and wild boar.
Jastrebac is characterized by abundant of deciduous and evergreen forests. Allocated reserve of white birch, and many water flows, springs and streams stand out because of its beauty. In the surrounding streams one can found river crabs and wild trout, which is a sign of a very clean water. For those who prefer natural food, Jastrebac has a rich variety of wild edible plants: crembosa, nettle, blowball, wild strawberries, apples and pears, different types of edible mushrooms.
Picnic "Jastrebac" is situated on 480 meters, and has good accommodation facilities. Artificial lake allows swimming during summer, and winter guests have a ski lift that takes them to the ski slopes 300 meters long. It is in the category of light paths, and is located at an altitude of 560 meters. Jastrebac is ideal for mountain hiking, and hunters can hunt red deer, wild boar and roebuck.
