Museum of Physical Culture
The first sports museum collection in Serbia was founded in 1947. by Professor Boro Jovanovic, and grand opening of the museum took place in 1979. in the framework of the new building of the Faculty of Physical Education.
That same year, the museum got its first permanent exhibition that traces the development of sport and physical culture in Serbia. The most important exhibits are bone skates from the Neolithic, fencing equipment from the eighteenth to the twenty-first century, the Falcon sports equipment from the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, the Falcon uniform, skis from the nineteenth century, a number of cups and medals of our athletes. The museum organizes numerous exhibitions, both in Belgrade and Serbia and outside the borders, and thus presents a rich sports history of the Serbian people.
