The Museum of Ivo Andric

The Museum of Ivo Andric (1892-1975) is dedicated to one of the most famous Serbian and Yugoslav writers, and diplomats, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1961 for his novel "Bridge on the Drina". 


The museum was founded in 1976. and is work within the Belgrade City Museum. It is located in the writer's apartment where he lived since 1958.  Study room and lounge of Andric are preserved its authenticity, while the former two bedroom converted into an exhibition space. Visitors can see  letters, original manuscripts of literary works, personal items, documents, photographs, Vuk's award, the Nobel Prize and Medal, as well as the personal library of around 4,500 books.
