Pancevo

Pancevo is situated in the southwest of Banat, at rivers Danube, Tamis and Nadele. The most bussy road is Pancevo - Vrsac - Romanian border (E-94), and it is extension of the highway E-5 Budapest - Belgrade, more exactly E-70 Munich - Zagrab - Belgrade.


Major regional roads are: Uljma - Bela Crkva, as well as part of the way of Timisoara - Bazijas. Throught Pancevo very important international railway Belgrade - Timisoara - Bucharest – Constanta passes, where a separate way goes to Odessa (Ukraine). Pancevo area features preserved city nucleus of typical Pannonian towns and other cultures and traditions of rural life. Pancevo with its two rivers is characterized by its beautiful coasts, where some localities are the attraction, as is the case with the island Forkontumac, which is a favorite resort of Belgrade. Not far from the city is the oldest archaeological culture found in Vojvodina - Starcevac culture. Voilovica monastery from the XVI century, also a masterpiece of architecture, and there is Orthodox Church of Uspenje, with icons of Constantine Daniel in the Baroque style, in the style with post byzantinum icons of Uros Predic, and Omoljica Church which is one of the oldest. Surely the most important destination is Deliblato sands which partly belongs to the municipality of Pancevo.
