Srebrno Lake
Srebrno lake (Silver lake) is situated in eastern Serbia, near the right bank of the Danube, 129 kilometers from Belgrade. This lake used to be a branch of Danube, now closed with dams on both sides. It was named after a special silver splendor of water in the sun.It is 14 km long, with average width of about 300 m. Because of its wealth in fish it is mentioned in the Guinness Book of Records. Srebrno Lake is one of the most popular tourist resorts in Serbia. It features well-kept sandy beaches, clear and warm water, and numerous bars and discs along the coast that resemble that of a sea.Tourist Organization of Veliko Gradiste organizes many cultural and sports events.
