Varvarin
Area belonging to the municipality Varvarin in the east and southeast is almost completely surounded by natural boundaries – bed of the Rivers Morava (the old part), and West Morava. This area occupies the southernmost part of Sumadija. In the administrative regional division of the Serbian territory, this municipality belongs to Rasina District.
Name Varvarin, settlement of urban type, comes from the much older village of the same origin, although the town was for a longer period known as the White Church in the XVIII - XIX century. Varvarin is particularly advanced when it came to advanced Cincars from Serbia and Greece, which were joined capable people from this region. As a result of their efforts, there was a separation of town from the village, especially when Varvarin was declared a town by the decree of King Milan Obrenovic on 29th of September ,1882.

Twice a year a fair is held in Varvarin - 12 July (Peter), and 28 August (Assumption). The August fair is particulary important, considering that the same day is the glory of monastery Kalenic, and event ‘Passed Levac, passes Sumadija’ starts.
