Velika Plana

The municipality of Velika Plana is situated in Central Serbia, and belongs to Podunavski district. Municipal Center is the city of Velika Plana, on the left bank of the Morava River. In the area of the municipality numerous material evidence that people inhabited this area in prehistoric times were found.

Unfortunately, no expert archaeological examination was conducted. Log Chuches give this area history and religious significance. They were built in hidden places, away from roads, in the hills and dense forests, so as not to be in sight of the Turkish army.
