Vrnjacka Banja
Vrnjačka Banja is located in Central Serbia, and belongs to the Raska district. The center of the municipality is the city of Vrnjacka Banja. Vrnjacka Banja has a long tradition of spas. At hot mineral springs in Vrnjacka Banja, in the period from II to IV century, the Romans built a spa and rehabilitation place AQUA ORCINAE.
This is proved by archaeological findings in the inner core of the Roman spas, and, swimming pools, Roman hot springs mineral water (Fons Romanus) and lots of coins that was left in the mineral spring. For healing and recovery here came mostly Roman legions, and the Romanized indigenous aristocracy.
Modern development of Vrnjacka Banja began in 1868. with the work of Founding company, the oldest tourist organization in the Balkans.
