Zitoradja

Zitoradja municipality is located in Central Serbia, and belongs to the Toplica District. Municipal center is located in Zitorađa. Data about Zitorađa as a populated area date from the fourth century, when old Byzantine city Zitoradjsko kale was mentioned. Zitoradja was liberated from the Turks in 1877. That year is considered to be the founding year of the municipality.


Particularly famous and attractive sites:

  • Kale - a place located on the mountain Pasjac, where are located the remains of the ancient Roman city of Hercules Ad
  • Glasinska cuka - located near the village Glasnica, there is a well-known Latin Church, which dates back to the fourth century.
