Latitude is 44° 40' north to 44° 11' south, and altitude is 110 m to 406 m. Areas where vineyards are mostly located are on altitudes from 150 m to 310 m. Altitude - terrain slope gradually decreases from south west to north east.

Region is mostly characterized by moderately steep to mild terrain slopes where vineyards are grown. Pseudogley is predominant type of soil in this region, but vertisol, fluvisol and other types can also be found.

Exposition varies, but vineyards are mostly on south, south east, and east expositions. On the slopes of mountain Cer there are vineyards on north east and north expositions as well.

Orographic - relief characteristics of this region: to the south there are mountains Suvobor (866 m), Maljen (1103 m), and other smaller mountain; to the north west low mountain Cer (687 m), Venci, and their slopes (they belong to Dinariders), as well as mountain type terrains to the south west part of the region, which has many river basins. North eastern part of the region has hills of is characterized by flat terrain.

Rivers Kolubara, Tamnava, Ub and Ljig flow through this region. Their basins are surrounded by misty forests of common oak, ash, alder, willow, poplar, and other, while mountain part of the region is dominated by forests of Turkey oak, red oak, and other. Forest complexes with pastures, small orchards, and lands with arable crops are main characteristics of this region.
