Besna kobila
Besna Kobila is situated to the east of Vranje. This is a mountain with ideal conditions for winter sports. The highest peak is located at 1,922 meters above sea level, which provides an excellent view all the way to Bulgaria. Experts in mountain resorts claim that, in addition to potentially beautiful ski terrain and a long snowy season (nine months), this mountain beauty is characterized by a climate that resembles the climate of the famous Austrian ski resort Kitzbühel.
Besna Kobila is characterized by plant wealth based on the wild, wild-growing medicinal herbs, and wild fruits, and diverse plant life with over 700 species of woody, bushy and herbaceous plants.
Among the most famous types of herbs that grow on Besna Kobila are: St John's wort, mullein, nettle, paint brushes, mint, oman, yarrow, blueberry, raspberry, dandelion, lemon balm, etc.
Also, mountain pastures, forests, unpolluted land, water and air provide excellent conditions for accommodation and holiday. Besna Kobila provides excellent conditions for hunting wild boars, foxes and wolves.
